How our Block of the Week program works:

After you register for ANY BOW, you may begin picking up your blocks in the shop on the start date, which will always be a Wednesday. If you prefer, you may also set it up to be shipped to you at your own expense. If you finish your block before the next pickup date, then you will earn 5% discount to use on a purchase at the end of the program.  For instance, if you finish your block on-time for 3 of the 5 weeks, you would earn a 15% discount to use on your next purchase at the end of the program. All you have to do is bring your finished block into the store OR post a picture of your finished block on The Material Girl Facebook page by the end of each pick-up day.

How our Block of the Month program works:

When you register for our block-of-the-month/week quilt programs, it is understood that you are registering for the entire program. We will abide by this policy and prepare a kit for you each month/week with the understanding that you will remain in the program for the duration.

Cancellation:
We understand, however, that things happen. If something happens that causes you to need to cancel, please let us know right away! Should you need to cancel before the program is over, however, the Registration Fee is not refundable.

Often times we provide complete products (pattern, background, etc.) on our BOM/BOW programs during the first month. This is for your convenience and to protect against possible dyelot changes in the fabrics. In these cases, if a cancellation is made by the customer before the 6th month, a fee for the full amount of the items (pattern, background, etc) will be charged to the credit card you have provided.

Oops, I made a mistake:
Our store is unique in that if you should make a small mistake on a particular piece of fabric, you can call and request a replacement. We are happy to accommodate when fabric is available provided this policy is not abused. If you make a large mistake we usually have extra fabric available for you to purchase at a small price. Please just call and discuss it with us and we are happy to work with you!

Billing:

We bill out many Block of the Month Programs each month so, each program is scheduled a designated time during the month. Once a program begins, and is scheduled for that first month, it will be billed on, or about, the same time each month, depending upon weekends and holiday. If, for any reason, we are not able to charge your credit card, a postcard will be mailed to you, and your kit will be held until payment arrangements can be made. For this reason, we encourage you to let us know if you receive an updated credit card or expiration date.

Shipping & Handling:
Shipping and handling may vary throughout the programs. If a kit is larger, and shipping is considerably more than normal, we will charge more shipping. Please know that we do our best to reduce shipping costs and keep it reasonable.

Participant Limits:
For any one of our programs to actually take place, we must have at least 25 participants. Though most do, not all programs that we offer actually materialize. We also have to set a maximum amount of participants, and once that limit has been reached, a Waiting List will be set up.

Program Cancellations:
If a program is cancelled, you will be contacted via email, and given the choice to apply your paid Start-Up fee as a:

  1. $25 store credit
  2. Start-Up Fee for another Program
  3. $25 refund
